Carrier sales representative

SUMMARY: The Carrier Sales Representative is focused on carrier relationship development and management in support of the customer sales operation.

 Qualifications:

  • Sales experience required

  • Industry experience not required

  • Must have great communication (phone, email, in-person) skills

  • Must be able to perform basic computer/internet functions

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, a qualified individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the following essential functions of this position:

  • Understand and support the values, mission, policies, and procedures of WM Martin Transport

  • Offer shipments and negotiate pricing to provide the most cost-effective logistics solutions

  • Develop and manage a unique customer base

  • Successfully understand customer’s operational capabilities, freight needs, and service area

  • Communicate opportunities, needs, and inquiries to the Sales team

  • Prioritize shipments to efficiently and effectively cover all customer orders

  • Track all scheduled shipments from beginning to end

Compensation:

  • $35,000 - $45,000 plus incentives (with immediate advancement opportunities available)
